Hello to all of you,

As I have informed you, in 2008 there will no longer be 14 Regions there will be 9 Districts (We stay exactly the same, which is not the case for 2/3rds of the regions).

I received suggestions like "Northwest-Pacific", "Wild West", and many others (including "The Whoopee Cushion District"....Actually that was mine ).

It is finally official that our name for the District (Formally known as Region 10) will be the

Pacific Western District. June 30th was the deadline for final approval. Pacific Western is the name that we all agreed on. The following are the New APICS District Names, effective January 1, 2008:

Northeast (formerly region 1 & 2)
Mid-Atlantic (formerly region 3 & 9)
Heartland (formerly region 5)
Terra Grande (formerly region 6)
South West (formerly region 7)
Canadian (formerly region 8)
Pacific Western (formerly region 10)
Southeast (formerly regions 4, 12 and part of 11)
Great Lakes (formerly regions 13 & 14)
